Response Details
If you could have dinner with any fictional character, who would it be and what would you ask them?
Response
I'd choose Atticus Finch from To Kill a Mockingbird. Growing up, his moral clarity in the face of injustice shaped how I think about integrity. Over dinner, I'd ask him one question: "How do you maintain hope when the system you believe in fails?" In the book, he loses the trial despite the truth being obvious. Yet he keeps going. I've faced moments in my career where doing the right thing didn't lead to the right outcome — a project killed despite solid data, a promotion given to someone less qualified. What I'd want to understand is how he separates personal disappointment from principled action. I think his answer would be something like: "You don't fight because you'll win. You fight because it's right." That distinction — outcome versus integrity — is something I'm still learning to internalize.

Strengths
Strong response with clear reasoning and personal connection. The choice of Atticus Finch is well-justified with specific references to the source material. Excellent vocal emphasis when quoting the imagined response — the pause before "You fight because it's right" landed well.
Areas to Improve
- The career examples could be more specific — what was the project? What made the promotion unfair?
- Pace was slightly rushed during the career setback examples — slow down to let the emotional weight land
- Consider ending with a forward-looking statement about how this insight will shape future decisions
